CROWN POINT — The city announced earlier this month it will begin soliciting for parking solutions to the congestion of the downtown square. Ideas discussed have included meters and a parking garage.
HAMMOND — The closing of the City Court may provide some additional financial benefits for the city by allowing it to house more federal prisoners in its jail.
CROWN POINT — The city's Plan Commission gave an enthusiastic response during a public hearing last May on plans to convert the long-vacant Lake County Greenhouse to a restaurant and brewery.
GARY — A narrow line of severe storms packed a punch as it ripped through northern sections of the Region on Friday night, downing trees and power lines and causing outages.
LOWELL — A Lowell teen was pronounced dead Friday night following a motor vehicle accident, according to a release from the Lake County coroner.
